In 1991 Equity Concepts was founded by Michael Thaler. John Robinson joined the firm shortly thereafter and together they set out to build a wealth management firm focused on exceptional service and institutional investment access. These ideals are reflected in their mission statement: "To enable our clients to become the best possible stewards of what God has entrusted to them." This vision has led Equity Concepts to both substantial growth and success.
This strategic focus allows Equity Concepts' clients to gain the most from a relationship with the firm. Equity Concepts provides comprehensive investment and financial services to individuals, families, businesses and institutions.
David Halpern founded Equity Concepts North LLC in 2001, and associated with Equity Concepts in the same year based upon the belief that there is power in bringing many minds and varied expertise together to foster our clients’ economic plans and goals. Mr. Halpern’s legal background, having represented many business entities, developing business succession plans, and creating estate plans, provides a strong foundation for the process we utilize to today. Shortly thereafter he was joined by James E. Ellis, who brings extensive experience in the investment world and the knowledge base that comes with a BS degree in economics.
At Equity Concepts North, wealth management is more than just picking investments and retirement planning. Our family office services help clients strategically integrate and coordinate all parts of their financial lives from risk management and financial planning, to asset management, tax planning and estate planning. This comprehensive approach is designed to ensure that each of these distinct and important areas of the financial spectrum has been evaluated and managed together to give the client a greater sense of control. It is the active and ongoing supervision of this process that will ultimately define our client’s true financial success.
