William has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years and joined Equity Concepts in early 2003 to lead its wealth management team. William focuses on transferring to the team the lessons learned from his history of success in relationship management, financial planning and operations management.

William received his Bachelor of Science in business management from Ferris State University. He currently holds the following Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses: Series 99, 24, 7, 65, 63, and 6, as well as life, health insurance and variable annuities. William is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.

William is very involved in the Rotary Club of Innsbrook, Virginia. He has held a variety of executive board positions at the club. He currently runs the speaker committee. In 2015, William received the club’s highest award and was voted Rotarian of the year. William is also an avid golfer. His passion for golf sparked him to start a neighborhood golf league, which has grown to over 500 members and is now an official Virginia State Golf Association eClub. Due to the growth of the league, it rebranded in 2017 as the RVA9 Golf League. William is also a VSGA committee member for Growing the Game.

William and his wife Amber have two boys, David and Max. The Saunders attend Hope Church, where William and Amber volunteer in the children’s ministries.
