Philip joined Equity Concepts in 2020 and is a member of the Thaler Team. Philip is a native of Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013. He was heavily involved in Virginia Tech’s club ice hockey team during his academic career, holding various leadership positions both on and off the ice. After several years honing his customer service and project management skills in the construction and homebuilding industry, Philip was motivated by personal experiences to transition into the financial services industry to help his clients discover and achieve their purpose.
Philip has a passion for providing comprehensive financial advice with a personable approach that focuses on nurturing personal and professional relationships. He holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses and the Virginia Life, Health, and Annuities license.
Philip lives out his responsibility to give back to the community by coaching youth ice hockey and serving on the men’s leadership team at his home church, Mechanicsville Christian Center. He also is active in global missionary programs through Effective Ministries Inc./LINK and serves in leadership positions for construction-based mission teams in Niger, Africa.
His wife, Erica, works as a graphic designer and a figure skating coach in the Richmond area. Together, they reside in Mechanicsville, Virginia, along with their dog, Bauer. They spend their spare time with friends and family and are fans of Hokie football, ice hockey and international figure skating.
